Wedding ServicesCapturing your special day
You spend months (sometimes even years) planning your special day, which is filled with excitement, nerves, joy, laughter, and fun… and then it’s over in a heartbeat. All couples describe how their wedding day flies by incredibly quickly. I believe that great wedding photography is about creating a timeless record so you can relive these fleeting moments for the rest of your lives. It is my job to tell the story of your wedding day with beautiful, natural images that you will love. And with true-to-life colours and crisp black and whites that will still look as fresh in 50 years as they do today.
I’ve been photographing weddings since 2006, and I still love it! I look forward to every wedding I do. I have photographed weddings in stunning venues like Blenheim Palace, in village halls, as well as intimate affairs in back gardens, and they all have their own unique charm that makes each one special and memorable for me. I have photographed large Indian weddings with hundreds of guests through to small simple weddings with a handful of guests. And I have photographed Christian, Sikh, Hindu, Muslim and Civil ceremonies.
For most of the day, I capture moments as they happen naturally, in an unobtrusive reportage style, with minimal prompting, posing and bossing around! As well as the important couple shots, we will work with an agreed list of a few group shots, which can be covered pretty quickly to allow you plenty of time to enjoy your day.
I will be with the bride and her bridal party as they get ready, right through the day until the first few dances at the evening reception. Not forgetting the groom of course - I always make sure I get to the venue in plenty of time to grab some shots of the guys too.
I consider it an honour to be trusted with the job of capturing your wedding memories. Your wedding day can‘t be repeated and once the cake has been cut and the dress put away, all that will be left are the photos to remind you of the day. It’s a heck of a responsibility, and one that I don’t take lightly! My goal as a photographer is to capture images that evoke emotion and bring back memories for years to come.
My 2015 packages start at £1100 for full day coverage, which includes your fully-edited high-resolution photos on a USB and an online gallery. Album packages start at £1400. Please contact me for a price list, as all packages can be tailored to suit you.
Frequently Asked QuestionsWe only need a photographer for a few hours. Is this possible?
Absolutely, please get in touch & we can discuss what would be most appropriate for your day.Do you require a deposit?
Yes, there is a deposit of £250 to secure the date. Half of the remaining balance is then due one month before the wedding, with the remaining balance due once you have chosen the photos for your album. How soon will the photos be ready?
Photos are usually ready to view in a password-protected web gallery within two weeks of your wedding – something to look forward to when you return from your honeymoon! You can then select the images you wish to be included in your album. Once you have approved the design for your album it should be with you within a few weeks.Do we have to buy an album?
Absolutely not, it is your choice, although I strongly recommend that you do! Please read the article on my blog regarding why I feel the wedding album is so important. Can we print from the USB stick you provide us?
Yes. The images I supply are fully-edited, watermark-free, high resolution JPEGs. I also supply lower resolution digital files that are suitable for sharing on Facebook, your own blog or any other web site.We have a friend who has a new camera and took some really nice photos at a party recently, do we really need to pay for a professional?
I would of course have to say YES, absolutely! The chances are you are looking at my website because you have already decided you want to book a professional wedding photographer, but perhaps you are still deciding whether the investment is really worth it. Whether or not you decide I am the right photographer for you, there are many reasons why it’s important to book a professional photographer for your wedding.
Having invested time and effort in the planning of the wedding of your dreams, not to mention all the costs, you only have one chance to get the photography right. A professional photographer has the experience and skills to cope with different locations, lighting levels and camera angles. They will have the right equipment, they know the best poses, and they can work with your guests to get the best from them, including coordinating large groups of people in a friendly and efficient manner. Your photographer needs to have the right balance between taking charge when needed (e.g. for group shots) and then blending into the background for unobtrusive journalistic-style images.
These are just a few reasons…. I wrote an article on my blog which goes into more detail about why it’s so important to book a professional wedding photographer– please take a look. Can we see some feedback from previous couples whose weddings you have photographed?
Feedback is incredibly important to me. I need couples to love their photos and be delighted with the service they have received from me. Please have a look here for some testimonials from previous weddings. Are you insured?
Yes, I have public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance. I would have to be pretty ill to be unable to attend your wedding, but I do have a good network of other photographers I could call on in the event of an emergency. I also carry back up equipment in case any kit breaks during your day.Can we meet you before the wedding?
Absolutely. I would always suggest that we meet before you make a final decision, to make sure I am the right photographer for you. The photographer plays a really important role on your wedding day and it’s important that you like me! It’s also a good opportunity for you to have a look at the albums I offer and for me to find out more about you – I do love a romantic proposal story! I also like to meet couples 4-6 weeks before the wedding, ideally at your reception venue, to go through all the details of the day and see where you will be getting married. How many photos will we receive?
This varies from wedding to wedding, and largely depends on how long I spend with you. On average you can expect to receive 400-500 fully-edited, high-resolution digital files, as well as smaller files ready for you to share online.
Any other questions? Please get in touch, I would love to hear from you.
